Manchester United defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Brandon Williams have been informed that they are free to find new clubs, the sources suggested.
As the new boss of The Reds, Erik ten Hag, continues to evaluate his new squad, Man he reports that two Englishmen will not appear in his plans for next season.
Amid rumors that Ten Hag would be looking to bring in at least one defender in the summer, the pair were considered surplus to his requirements.
And that comes shortly after Williams made an impression on a loan at Norwich City last season despite being relegated from Dean Smith’s side.
Meanwhile, Wan-Bissaka struggled with both injury and form last season and was replaced most of the time at right-back by Diogo Dalot.
Both defenders have been given ample opportunities to secure a spot on United but it seems the time has come for both of them.
After joining Old Trafford for around € 60m (£ 50m) from Crystal Palace 3 seasons ago, Wan-Bissaka looked confident to become a regular for United.
But even though 89 has already appeared, he has found himself out of favor.
While unable to break into the full England squad as expected, the 24-year-old also appears to be frozen in the new coach’s plans.
The versatile Williams, who has been used on both right and left back by former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, spent the last season on loan at The Canaries.
And after 26 appearances for that poor side from Norwich, Williams, who excelled in many games, could realistically expect to get the chance to impress his hometown club.
Instead, he now faces the same fate as his companion as he is replaced by United’s new manager and looks elsewhere for the new challenge.
