Juventus plans a double attack on Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial

Juventus is planning a double strike against two French Manchester United stars this summer, according to a new report.

La Stampa via Calciomercato.it says that both Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial are being targeted by the Serie A website.

‘[Juventus sporting director Federico] Cherubini could … try a new offensive for the French, who is looking for redemption and will leave Manchester United this summer (apart from sensational surprises), ”the newspaper reads.

“In this case, Juve will try to negotiate a loan with the right to buy back.

“And at Old Trafford there is also Paul Pogba (contract expiring) who always teases Allegrie’s imagination to shift gears in midfield.

This double blow from United would undoubtedly topple the Juventus transfer market and the Tuscan coach’s board for next summer.

The Old Lady’s interest in Paul Pogba is not news and a return to Turin has been under discussion for the 29-year-old for several months.

Two hurdles to moving might be that Pogba is more interested in moving to Spain and that Juve’s wage cap rule would mean he would have to cut his salary significantly to join.

On the other hand, if the club wants him enough, they can offer him other incentives to make up the difference.

As for Martial, given his poor record on loan at Seville, United would likely be happy to go along with Juve’s offer. A surprising element of the story is that Italians would like to take a chance with him after his recent struggles.

Many United stars have done well in Serie A after leaving Old Trafford in recent years. Ashley Young, Romelu Lukaku, Chris Smalling and Matteo Darmian have achieved success, which may have encouraged Juve even more that the attack for the two French internationals could be a very clever venture indeed.

Given that Jesse Lingard was also linked to a free transfer to the same club when his contract with United expires, there could be a few familiar faces in a few months to honor Continassa.
