Don’t forget the Amon-Ra St. Brown in WR Lions Improved Room

Compared to this period last year, there was a lot of noise about the Detroit Lions’ newly looking receiving body. And rightly so.

CEO Brad Holmes came out and added DJ Chark on a free agency. Chark, who has legal speed in the field, will be a long, ranged target for quarterback Jared Goff to throw at. He also restored veteran Josh Reynolds – who is more than capable of taking off immediately when called upon.

Finally, he made a deal during the NFL draft in 2022, moving up 20 places to pick Jameson Williams from Alabama. Like Chark, Williams owns other gear that they just don’t have.

That’s a lot of traffic in one off season. Even so, despite the new additions, many people in the organization still remain really excited about the receiver that was on the list in 2021. Just ask Antwaan Receiver Trainer Randle El.

“It’s the Saint,” Randle El told the media last week.

From the time the sophomore trustee Amon-Ra St. Brown, set foot in Allen Park, went about his business all the time. Whether he’s talking about how he behaves on the pitch or how much work he puts into perfecting his craft, it’s clear that St. Brown understands what it takes to be great in this league.

“He’s the guy for how he gets it, and he still gets it, and it’s good to see it,” Randle El told St. Brown. “Second year, same focus – even more focus. For example: “Coach, teach me this.” … Okay, this guy wants to learn over and over again. So it’s always good to see and he does it again and keeps doing these plays.

Thanks to the above-mentioned additions to the crime of St. Brown should have even more space to work in 2022. You can read the full article by Dave Birkett of FREEP here.
