TJ Hockenson will be attending Tight End University for a second year

This season, TJ Hockenson returns to Tight End University from the Detroit Lions.

For the uninitiated, Tight End University is a three-day accelerated course for the NFL where you can meet, trade strategies, and hang out. The event was launched in 2021 by NFL players George Kittle, Greg Olsen and Travis Kelce.

“We are delighted to be able to bring TEU back for the second year in a row,” Kittle said in a press release earlier this season. “Demand was high last year and the consensus among participants was overwhelmingly positive. We look forward to making it an annual tradition where the best professionals across the country will meet, learn from each other and have a great time doing it. ”

Hockenson, who is a close friend of Kittle’s, attended the event last year. He was even named TEU Heavyweight Champ – which came with a sick wrestling belt.

“Just being able to have all those hard things, hang out at night, work during the day, learn things from Kelce, learn from him, learn from Kittle, Waller,” said Hockenson about last year’s event. “Only guys you watch in a movie, but you don’t really know why they do it. Just have this movie in front of you and they stand there explaining why they are doing it. It’s a fun thing and I think we’ll be doing it every year. This is something every tight end wants to be in. ”

According to the event’s social media, Tight End University will be held June 22-24 in Nashville, Tennessee. Given that Hockenson spends most of the off-season in Nashville to hang out with Kittle and train, it should come as no surprise that Hockenson will be returning to the event.
